There are a few controls for customizing FTProofsheet's behavior. Most users will wish to maintain the default settings.
- Passive FTP is usually best for users who are behind routers and firewalls. Unchecking this will cause FTProofsheet to use "Active" mode. This selection may be toggled as part of diagnosing a connection problem. Note: FTProofsheet also supports SFTP. If connected by SFTP instead of FTP (this option is set by the lab), this setting has no meaning.
- If you delete any rolls from the server, by default FTProofsheet will ask you whether you are certain of this action. Make sure these rolls have been successfully downloaded. Uncheck this warning option if you have nerves of steel, and never make any mistakes.
- From time to time, the lab may have an updated release of FTProofsheet, with enhanced features or bug fixes. By default, the software will make this check on launch. You may also manually make this check through the menus.
- FTProofsheet supports the Dark Mode feature, offered on newer versions of Windows and macOS . On these systems, an additional option will appear, to follow or ignore the system setting. On macOS, an applied change will take effect immediately. On Windows, the change will appear on the next run of FTProofsheet.
